Any jetting change required for E cam?

Hi burned,

The jetting specs you gave me for the FCR on my '05 DRZ S model worked great. I've leaned it down a bit (dropped from the 155 mj to a 152, and eventually settled on a 150, and dropped the pilot from a 38 to a 35, and raised the needle clip from #3 to #2, fuel screw as needed-usually about 2-3/4 to 3 turns) as a compromise setting to cover the range of elevation that I typically ride, but other than that it's just as you spec'd, which was:

155 main jet

200 main air jet

emm needle

clip 3

38 pilot jet

5/8 turn pas

2 turns fuel screw

this is with the coast enrichner removed.

Since I don't expect you to remember every bike that you've been asked about, the rest of my set up is:

Yosh SS full system

3x3 airbox hole (actually more like 4x2.25, but you know what I mean)

E base gasket

Hotcams stage 2 intake cam

OEM '03 E model FCR with TPS plugged in.

I'm going to change to the E model exhaust cam (I have the brand new cam sitting right here on my desk) and I was just wondering if I should anticipate having to make any jetting change(s) to accomodate it.

Don't get excited about the cam, jet per standard reccomendations.

If I start with a 2005 DRZS at sea level and install the TT FCR MX with ................

- 200 Main Air Jet

- 155 Main Jet

- 45 Pilot Jet

- 100 Pilot Air Jet (removed)

-EMN needle, third slot from top

....................and also have....................

Yoshi Ti w/spark arrestor in and the 3X3 mod, adding the Hotcams StII intake will not change the main jet requirements (much if at all).

Is this right?
