Washing a CRF50 w/ a UNI Pod filter

How are most of you washing your bike with the UNI pod filter? Are you washing it with the filter on and then removing and drying / cleaning the filter after, or are you removing the filter before the wash and plugging the carb with something? If your plugging the carb, what plug are you using, or can you recommend (similar to an exhaust plug?)

i just take a plastic bag and use the hose clamp to hold it on. works just fine,

I used a rubber cap that fits over the OD of the carburetor opening. Got it at Home Depot. They're used to fit on the bottom of metal or wood legs for floor protection. 1" diameter if I remember right. Worked great.

i just use a publix plastic bag and cover it up

yep, plastic bag and a rubber band around the carb works good

I take mine off, then i put duck tape on the carb and it holds till i take it off. then you can clean the airfilter.

I found that using a zip-loc sandwidwich bag cut to fit the opening of the carb and a fat rubberband wound twice makes a water proof cover and I even use a power washer. Also works on my KLX110 with the pod filter removed. Hope it helps you out.
