Gimmick or wise purchase?

Recommended Posts

I doubt it would do much, if anything. I used to be somewhat of a collector of CB500/550/750 Hondas, and in particular, the 500/550's ran fairly hot. The hot tip for them was a decent engine oil cooler, something like a Lockhart or similar. But then again, I never tried 'NASA technology'..... :banghead:

Ive seen a lot of stuff in my life, but that thing is something special. That thing may cool the 5mm's of surrounding oil by a degree or so, but mostly what it'll do is remove 18 bucks from your wallet.

Freakin incredible...Its right up there with the Icat which is nothing more than a high voltage diode.

CB/CL350s weren't known for running hot. Any twin-carb XR runs twice as hot.

But, the best defense against an air-cooled motor running hot is proper jetting; synthetic oil; a clean air filter; and the proper exhaust - not some stupid $18 wonder rod. :banghead:

Send ME the $18. In return, you'll have your choice of either a rotted '70s-era Metzler knobby, or a highy oxidized UFO front fender from the '80s. (free shipping. :banghead: )
