Although throughing a KLX into a tree I'm really surprised that all that happend was a bent bar and busted front # plates So this is my first year riding dirtbikes and choosing a handlebar for a dirtbike is a lot harder than choosing some clipons for my sportbike. So what kind should I get. I'm a short guy. 5"2' The only thing I know right now is the the bars are a little to wide for me. But I have no clue what the diffence between a cr bend and a kx bend is. Dave_Carl Posted October 3, 2005 Visit your local shops and check out a number of bars to see what feels good to you. I don't think you need a taller bar unless it's just more comfortable for you. Also take a look at this thread for bike set up: https://thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172729. My guess is you want to stay around 28" after cutting them down.
