Coolant Question

Recommended Posts

Use the Plus. it's great stuff. Be sure to get ALL water/coolant out of your bike. Flush the entire system with water. I like to flush system first with plain water a few times and then ride the bike until it gets VERY hot. Then carefully drain it when hot. (but don't remove the rad cap!) The engine heat will help vaporize the remaining water. Using compressed air will help rid the system of water too. Also want to pull the hoses to help drainage. filler up with Evans and you'll be good to go.

I ride the nastiest, rockiest, steepest, and tightest trails that would make a billy goat puke and have never boiled over. Of course air flow is key too!

Thanks!

So it sounds like it can be ruined if you have water or anti freeze in the system.

Since Evans NPG+ is waterless, the addition of water to NPG+ lowers the coolant's boiling point, which is what you want to avoid if in fact you're buying this product for its higher boiling point, lower system pressure, lifetime service (because there's no water), etc.
