Removing TLR 200 reflex cam chain sprocket bolts?

Recommended Posts

Hi, well, I decided that here on the west coast the weather is getting too crappy to ride, so i pulled my engine out and am starting on a much needed rebuild.

I have a problem though, in my clymer manual it says to loosen the 2 cam sprocket bolts before removing the head, and I cannot get them to budge :banghead:

Everytime I try, the sprocket just rotates, I tried having a 10mm wrench on one, socket on the other, and I managed to get one loose, but as soon as I try that technique on the other bolt, I had to tighten the one I just loosened it if I ever had the sightest chance of gettin the other one loose :banghead:

Is there a trick to keep the bloody cam chain and sprocket from moving!?!!?

Please help!

Have you tried putting the bike in gear and applying the rear brake?
