mxrider14 Posted October 9, 2005 I tried using the search feature but i got no luck. I was wondering if you could just use regular dinosaur oil 10-40 in the transmission side. Will this work or is it BAD for the clutch and stuff? I ride woods and i dont abuse the clutch. thanks
CamP Posted October 9, 2005 As long as it is not "energy conserving", regular dino oil will work just fine in your tranny.
Shawn_Mc My Rides (2) Posted October 9, 2005 Ive found the Dino oil seems work better longer than synthetics...but I normally run 20-50. I like the action of the clutch better with a slightly heavier oil .

Shawn_Mc My Rides (2) Posted October 9, 2005 So BRapp, you gonna change the oil after 15 hours...while youre there, the book says to swap the piston out at the same time too....
