756 vs 756R Rear?

Recommended Posts

Different compound rubber. I think it is a waste on the rear. Run the R front and standard rear.

Stiffer sidewalls, soft on top. The RR is the best riding MX tire you can get----for the first ride anyway. On the second ride it is marginally the best. On the third ride the 756 might be better. Fourth ride is time to replace tire.

But seriously I did RRs front and back for one rotation this summer. They were incredible--really incredible on the first ride. 20 hours later the knobs were literally falling off.

Go Michelin MS2. I used to always ride Dunlop 756s, then I tryed the MS/MH line, and I will never go back. I flipped my last MH2 3 times,, thats unheard of, I usually got one flip out of a 756 then it fell apart shortly after. And I think the traction is better all around on the Michelin, especially the fronts. Try a set see what you think.

The stock 756 on my CRF lasted 2 rides. Both edges are hooped. Definately a loam-only tire.
