jesse wardlow Posted October 10, 2005 I have a 93 DR 350 that is highly modified. It has Jesse's airbox and carb mods and intake mods, and Yoshimuira exhaust. Getting the jetting right was a nightmare but after six months of trial and error got it right. It has ran great all summer and even yesterday. Today on a ride with 4 other's it started not running right. IT got worse as the ride went on. What it does is this - When I back off the throttle, the motor doesnt idle down very fast. It wants to keep going. Its wierd. It is usualy so snappy on motor braking, but now it just slowly dies down. The only thing that has changed is (1) the oil i put in it yesterday was 20w-10 made by suzuki and (2) the wettest North West weather moved into day making for a very wet ride. To me it sounds like an air leak, but looked all over and found none. They guys i was with think it was the change in air pressure with the weather that came in and now my jetting is off. Any help? Tubo Posted October 10, 2005 BIKE RUNS ON OR WONT IDLE DOWN WHEN THROTTLE IS CHOPPED Idle set too high, Air leak in intake or engine, Pilot too rich (when bike is hot) From here: http://www.4strokes.com/tech/4sjetting.pdf ... and after yesterday, I'm guessing your bike was quite hot.
