theaddamsfamily Posted October 11, 2005 For those of you who need to get the flywheel off on a WR250F '04 (e-start)(to change your camchain etc) then the thread on the flywheel is 30 x 1.0mm external RH and has approximately 7 turns of thread. So the puller needs to have an internal thread to suit this and about 40mm of internal relief to clear the first part of the boss before the thread starts. I got one made up as above, 2 flats on the external for a spanner and a high tensile M12 extractor bolt with a soft aluminium cup on the end so as not to damage the crank. 60+ ft/lbs and off it came with a bang. I did several searches but couldn't find the details needed hence the post.
Jason_Plank Posted March 27, 2006 Where did you purchase this puller? I'm having a fit trying to find one.
redr1boy Posted March 28, 2006 Where did you purchase this puller? I'm having a fit trying to find one. I just got one from the TT store. It's not listed but they have them. Motion Pro # 08-0386, around $20.
