XR100 - Flywheel

How much do you guys take off your flywheel to lighten it? I want to take .100" off of the outer diameter by making 2 strips, leaving a strip in the middle where the pick-up is. What is the optimum outer diameter?

Try aking Frank Nye at engines only...

There is not much you can take off... It's pretty thin... I checked into it and found I couldn't take enough to make a difference.

Thanks. I've already taken .040 off and it didn't make a difference.

I turned my flywheel down on the OD and the side to half the thickness and it hasn't broke yet.

It weighs about half of what it did and it makes a diffeence.
