EuroFreak Posted October 12, 2005 I haven't seen a thread about repairing riding boots. I have three pairs of boots that all ned something done from stitching to sole replacement. I prefer someone on the East coast but someone's better than no one! I'm looking into saddlemakers but haven't found one that will work on boots. Shoe repair places have told me the boots are too thick for their equipment.
PumpkinHumper Posted October 12, 2005 My kid pealed the sole back about 4" on his Fox boots. I called around and found 4 shops that do shoe work. I started visiting them and they all "shoe'd" me away and recomended the next shop. Finialy at the end of the line I found a local "old school" shoe guy that fixed it for $20. You just gotta look. The old time boot repair places are the ones that may do it. The Quicky wallmart shoe places aint gonna touch it.
xrMike Posted October 12, 2005 http://www.factoryresole.com/pages/1/index.htm Also, Alpinstar will resole/repair their own boots but I don't remember their prices or contact info.
