Sierra Trip *dial up users beware*

Recommended Posts

Got back a few days ago from a flyfishing trip to the eastern sierras. We flyfished the Upper Owens and Hot Creek. It was actually pretty slow fishing but still really fun. I absolutly love flyfishing the sierras and any trip is a good trip.

My younger brother is a marine sniper and and had an exact replica custom made by some guy to true marine issue specs. We spent a few hours one day shoting pine cones at 420 yards. He didn't miss once he sighted out the distance. We walked a beer can out, knowing the height of the beer can he "milled" out the distance through his scope. Some truly impresive stuff on his part. It took him two shots to sight in at that distance and then every one from there on was dead center. In seven shots I hit one and wasn't more then about 5 inches off on the other shots.
