cleaning black plastics

i have a 400sm that has black plastics. i was just getting ready to wash it, but i thought i'd ask if any one uses anything to clean black plastics that doesn't leave swirl marks everywhere. or is it all in the material of the rag or chamie? thx 4 all your help!

After a quick wipe down with a damp cloth, I use Mother's Back To Black polish. It really brings out the shine...

When I removed the warning sticker from the rear fender, I used some WD-40 to get the adhesive off. For some reason it left a really dull haze after that. The Mothers B2B pretty much fixed that...

I had the same kinda thing when i removed the warning stickers. I just used some more WD-40 a couples days later, and then again after that and it completely went away.

SOOPAMOTO - to avoid the swirls just use some polish after cleaning with soap. Make sure the rag is clean, don't drop it on the ground cause then you'll end up polishing your nice black plastics with little rocks.
