Ahhh! Bent my front wheel

Recommended Posts

Okay, so after a hard front wheel landing on a huge table top at my local track my front end started feeling shaky. So after trying to figure out what was wrong I finally discovered that my front wheel is bent a little. So would it be worth it trying to get the thing straightened? Or just go for some new wheels? I heard that the stock 250r wheels were kinda cheap to start with, is that true?

Thanks

The stock wheel is an excel and they are not cheaply made wheels. Wheels typically bend because of improper spoke maintenance (loose spokes) or a hard hit with too low of tire pressure. However, they will bend if you hit them hard enough, so I don't know what fits your situation best.

Is the bend a flat spot or is it out of true side-to-side? If it's a flat spot it's time for a new wheel. If it's just out of true, you can have the wheel repaired. Minor repairs can be done by yourself, but the pros have truing stands to get them perfect.

If you need a new wheel:
