MJ250F Posted October 17, 2005 Pay attention when mounting and 04-05 KXF Pipe to a new 06. When I tried to mount my PC full system from my 05 to my new 06 I noticed that it was hard to start the lower bolt at the subframe. There is a cast in tab on the frame that will prevent the exhaust from mounting up correctly. I didnt have access to air at the time so I had to carefully handfile it down so I has some clearance. Obviously the exhaust touching the frame may cause vibration and/or frame damage. This may not apply to all aftermarket systems. More fyi; 05 footpegs, sprockets, and carb parts will mount up to 06's. Air filters will not. and, yes, this bike feels like nite and day to the 06. much better handling suspension and power.
