No disc brakes on the 50 jetster? Are they not really needed? I'm not too well versed in riding 50's never had one...

I could definetly stand to have a disc brake on the front, as the front drum REALLY doesnt cut it anymore, but one for the rear isnt needed, it locks up plenty easy as is.

1997 KLX300

Stroker 331 big bore kit.

Mikuni 36ml pumper carb.

Stroker hot start kit.

Stroker ceramic coated headpipe with Yosh muffler.

Stroker idler gear.

KX250 forks.

Stroker modified KLX/KX hard anodized lengthened shock.

Stroker billet rear link.

Gold excel rims.

Smaller gas tank and shrouds off 1995 KLX250.

Stroker KX rear fender. KX front number plate.

Pro taper handle bars.

Pro rally hand guards.

DID O ring chain.

Moose stainless rear sprocket.

Thumper big pegs

ACR cam mods.

Lightened flywheel.

New intake valves.

The KLX was a great bike and was a lot of fun. It was very expensive to do all the mods, but I did all the work myself except for getting a shop to machine the cylinder and press in the sleeve.

I ended up selling the bike to one of my buddies for $4500 (Canadian). He loves it and it is still running strong (starts 1st or 2nd kick every time).

I bought a 04 KX250F and love it. It is much lighter and more competitive than the KLX331. I am in the process of modifying the hell out of it now. Once I sink a huge amount of cash into I will probably sell it cheap, and get a new 06. If it isn’t costing a fortune it isn’t really a hobby!

Jeff

NOOOO. Please don't put white plastic on that bike. 🤣

Its so pretty, and white looks no good.

I can understand the white MC kit. But please no Carey Hart kits or anything like that.

Unfortunately my most modded bike is my 1995 FZR 600;

Engine: bored 1mm offcenter to change instant of 90 degrees for better low end torque. 630c.c. 14.5/1 wiseco pistons, carillo rods, balanced crank, kibbelwhite stainless steel valves, flowed head, re-routed oil passages so oil reaches head first for better cooling

Ignition: Vance and Hines Powerpak, Factory +5 degrees ignition advancer, Accel Supercoils

Intake: bored Mikuni CV's, Dynojet jet kit, K&N Filters

Exhaust: Yoshimura 4-2-1 race only stainless steel headers/ Aluminum can

Wheels: 17 inchers off of a YZF 600, Pirelli Dragon EVS radials

Brakes: Stock calipers (anodized blue) russel stainless steel lines, master cylinder off of a YZF 750, Fully swapped to DOT 5 silicone

Rear suspension: Fox Racing Shox Remote Reservoir with ride height adjustment, custom linkage

Front Suspension: Race Tech modified, cartridge emulators, Ohlins spring

Frame: Cut and modified to emulate FZR 400 frame geometry, Powdercoated black

Body: Designed by me. Headlight is a Xenon vapor out of a 2003 Benz. I used the optometry equipment at my university to design my own lens. Custom ground. LED brake and taillights.

Drive: Renthal Sprockets, D.I.D. X-ring chain
