Zigman Posted October 18, 2005 Depends on what you mean by mandatory. To be 100% compliant with the law...then yes you would need them. However, for all practical purposes, I doubt you would ever get pulled over without them. I've ridden my DRZ400 all over the place with, and without my mirrors on, and never had a problem. To tell the truth, I had to contact the state highway patrol to even get a straight answer if they are actually required. Most police officers probably don't know the exact requirements, or even if they do, likely have better things to do than pull over someone for a lack of mirrors. I sure see a lot of custom choppers thundering right in Milwaukee traffic without mirrors, and they don't seem to have a problem. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
