roybfr Posted October 18, 2005 Got my FCR (brand new) the other day and am ordering a fuel screw and JD kit for it. Someone had posted that the kid does not come with a needle and to get one from Sudco along with a new spring. When I look at the in for in the JD kit in the TT store is does say that it comes with needles so just want to confim that is correct. Also are there other parts that I should order from Sudco? Someone mentioned springs but I was assuming that was based on the assumption that my FCR was used.
Bryan II My Rides (4) Posted October 18, 2005 The JD kit comes with two needles and a range of main jets, depending upon the kit. Frankly, the heart of the kit IS the needles, as the jets are nothing special.
10guy Posted October 18, 2005 You are confusing the dj kit with the jd kit. Yes you want the jd kit and as bryan said for the needles.
roybfr Posted October 18, 2005 Cool thanks for the clarification.
Noble Posted October 18, 2005 You may be confusing the adjustable pilot air screw (PAS) that can be purchased from SUDCO. It replaces the fixed size pilot air jet. The PAS is a screw with a needle like tip and a spring to hold the adjustment. It is often used in conjunction with a James Dean (JD Jetting) jet kit.
