I was just curious if anyone happened to know roughly what the number was..
no,but if i had to guess i would guess between 3 and 4 secs
Not exactly sure, but my guess is sub 5 seconds, or very close.
Not much beats me off the traffic light to 60.
I've heard around 5....and I believe it!
A German motorcycle magazine has tested this with a stock 2001 DRZ s.
Top speed: 148km/h
acceleration 0-100km/h: 5.5sec
So, converted to non-SI standards: top speed (mph) = km/h / 1.6093 = 91.97mph
acceleration 0-100km/h = acceleration 0-62.14 mph = 5.5 sec.
So i think the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph would be about 5.3-5.4 sec.
My S with stock gearing and all my mods was able to pull 4.3s
A little more like it. I will do some 0-60 with the SM setup after I get the 450 motor in. See what she can really do....
i don't know, but nate's sounds right. mine regeared with my mods will actually fry the tire in 3rd with a hard clutch drop and my weight way forward. it's kinda crazy. but then again i'm on knobbies :banghead:
Well mine has an FCR and Yosh Ti TRS and other intake mods so its not a good indicator of stock......
But those numbers are right off my Veypor.
The addition of a 47T rear sprocket on an 'S' model will get your 0-60 time under 5 seconds, without a doubt. That's only $20 away from being stock.
0-60: 5.4 sec. 1/4 mile: 13.66 sec @ 88mph stock
