Flywheel not TDC

Has anyone ever had the flywheel shear the key and turn on the crankshaft??

I am repairing my 2000 warrior , stumped as to cause, no damage other than failure to start, ignition WAAAYYY off

I've seen it many times, although it is less common these days that it once was. Pull the plug out and check with a wire probe or long screwdriver to see if the piston and flywheel agree on where TDC is. Of course, the piston is always right. :banghead:
