New Rock Creek/ Georgetown trail maps

Recommended Posts

Dear Trail Users,

The 2005 Version of the Rock Creek Trail Map is available for $3.00

(sales

tax is not included) per map. It is a color map with topographic

lines.

It has approximately 11 miles of new trail reroutes that were

constructed

in 2003, 2004 and 2005. The map shows both motorized and non-motorized

trails.

You can purchase the new color map at the Georgetown, Pacific and

Placerville Ranger District Offices and the Eldorado National Forest

Supervisor's Office. It will also be on sale the the National Forest

Store

on line.

The El Dorado National Forest Interpretive Association provided the

majority of the money needed to produce this map. 75% of the sales

price

will go to reprinting and revising the next version of the Rock Creek

Trail

Map. The Interpretive Association will use the other 25% for support

of

projects to enhance the educational or interpretive activities on the

Eldorado National Forest.

Thanks,

Jon Jue, Resource Officer

Georgetown Ranger District

Eldorado National Forest

Georgetown is way over rated, I think P C is much more fun, I don't recommend anyone spending the gas money to drive that far.

And watch out for the winter migration deer herd. They are so violent that a section of Rock Creek is closed off during the winter and spring months just for the protection of the people.

Ride on

:banghead: I agree!

Georgetown Sucks! Don't Go! 🤣

I've heard guys having trees reach out and eat their clutch. Bikes boil over all the time. People fly off cliffs. I've broken bones there! :busted:

Praire City is much better! :banghead:

Georgetown sucks but I still stopped by at 9am Saturday morning to buy 50 maps before heading to Elkins Flat to ride with a few of my friends. They only had 2 left, so I took they.
