OK...Hopefully you did not buy it direct from BigGun...Their returns Department person is a brain-dead monkey...

If you bought it from another vendor...Box it up...Get an RMA and

get your money back...

Now if you had read the threads about CDI boxes in this group before

purchasing you would have seen that the BigGun CDI as well as the

Yoshimura CDI and the White Brothers CDI boxes are all made by a company

called PROCOM. The CDI boxes are manufactuered in CHINA. Most of the

recently released units have been faulty. I also bought a BigGun CDI

and it worked for a total of 5 seconds. Some of us were testers for

PROCOM to try and sort out what the problem with their boxes are and they

shipped us out some test units (I got two)...However I've not heard anything

in quite some time nor have I been shipped any more test units so I'm not

sure whether Procom is still working on the problem or not. But what I can tell you is that your CDI box is almost surely of the recently released CDI units from ProCom which almost all have proved to be faulty.

Hopefully you'll get your money back.

If all you want is to raise the Rev limit...You can get an "E" CDI box and that will raise your rev limit from 10,000 to 10,500. It won't change the advance curve (run characteristics)..just the rev limit.

There's a CDI box known as the VORTEX (also WOLF) CDI...It is programmable but it is expensive ($400) for just the CDI...

Best thing to do is to try and get your money back and wait until these problems get sorted out....Or buy an "E" CDI box (available often on Ebay) to raise your rev limit...

Actually both of the PROCOM CDIs sent to me worked as well...

The first one (The 11K box that they made for YOSH)...Is still going

strong...With well over 1000 miles on it...I really like this one...

The second one they sent had a different mapping (less aggressive)...

That one I only tested it for two days and then put the 11K original box back in...
