paulthatcher Posted October 23, 2005 Well I really love my honda when it's running. I just replaced my valves and springs. And now it is harder than hell to start. I know that my valves are almost dead on. Intakes are a little tight @ .010 and exhaust dead on@ .027. The funny thing is when I kick it for about 30 kicks and then let it sit for about 5 min I can usually start it in about a kick or two. it sounds like it could be a jet but, it started ok before the valve job and I have not touch the jet settings. I am ready to burn my bike and buy a two stroke... HELP

angrytim Posted October 24, 2005 MM is the spec that I was using If you're measurements are correct, then no wonder it's hard to start. You're not even close to spec. .027 mm = 0.00106 in .010 mm = 0.00039 in Sure that's not cm??
Shawn_Mc My Rides (2) Posted October 24, 2005 Even if the adjustment was wrong, it wouldnt be that hard to start. You missed the timing by a tooth. Go back and look at it again. And make sure youve go the decompressor adjusted correctly too...
