Machine Grooved Rear Sprocket?

Recommended Posts

I want to buy a new 44T rear sprocket for my 200 Enduro replacing the current 56T. The seller on ebay has one, but says "it isn't machined grooved but it will work fine." I'm just wondering what that means, being "machined grooved". Thanks for your help.

When sellers use unfamiliar terminology, beware! They either don't know what they're selling, or it's an exit plan. I told you it wasn't machine grooved, but you bought it anyway. It's your own fault for not checking.

So here you are checking, good.

I have no idea what that means either, but that is a large jump in gearing??? Why are you gearing up so much? That seems odd unless the 44T is more near stock than the 56T.

Could it mean that it is cast and not machined? In which case it may be extremely inferior.
