yz125 or yz250f

if i am going to race 2 races a month and ride half trails and half track the rest of the month should i get the 125 or the 250f. i ride a cr80 right now.

id say hop on the 125 for some experience, its a good beginner bike and it makes a good transition bike to the 250f, i rode a 98 yz 125 last april for 1 month and thinking i needed more power i hopped on a brand new carryover 04 yz 250f. it was a lot more power to try to harness and i was very uncomfortable riding it. i then bought a brand new 04 yz 125 and was on it for a majority off the season and felt very fast on it, i then had the bikes at the track back to back, and without riding the 250f for quite some time i could tell i was faster on it then i was before becuz the 125 made it easier for me to ride a thumper, i could hold the throttle longer before entering corners and was less scared off the power it had then i was when i first bought it. sorry to make such a long story, to voice my opinion i would say start on a 125

The 125 is going to be a lot cheaper to buy and maintain, also.
