I realize you are asking about a Scotts Performance model, but I bought an Enduro Engineering one back in '93 for my 250R for $16 bux. It is just like this one , but anodized blue.

It is #13-040 listed at $21 here.

Works fine, and has offered rotor protection many times.

The Scotts model is definitely the strongest that I've used, a good hit can break the tabs on the swingarm for the bolt on type. I used the bolt on like the IMS for a couple of years with no problem. A buddy gave me a Scotts so naturally I put it on. If I rode in rocks a lot, The Scotts would be the way to go.
