Intake Valve Question

Recommended Posts

I measured at the tighest end of the range at .10 for all intake valves.

Wondering if i should shim to get it in the middle of the range?

Exhaust is at .18-.19 so i will leave those alone.

The bike has been a pain in the ass to start cold. Usually just end up bump starting it.

If they really are .10mm, and not, say, .08-.09mm, don't shim. Unless they have OEM odd size shims in them now, all you would be able to do is move them to .15mm. In spec is in spec, no matter what. But if they are, in fact tight, fix it.

Have you tried giving the bike a couple of shots from the accel pump when it's cold?

I usually just turn the gas on pull the choke then kick slow and smooth motions until she fires up. Try not to touch the throttle. I find my bike floods kinda quick.

Check my garage for specs on the bike.
