I bought an '04 WR450 a couple of months ago and it had a slight bog in the midrange. Long story short, after numerous jetting changes and 6 weeks in and out of the shop, the mechanic unplugged the throttle positioning sensor and it seems to run great now. My question is: Is it alright to run the bike with the TPS unplugged? Anything I should be on the lookout for?

Appreciate any info

For street riding most people unplug the TPS.

For serious off road riding the TPS provides a real benefit.
