Replace the brake shoes and along with them the springs that hold them in the closed positon. There either stretched out or one is broken.

ive already done those....the lever sticks,not the shoes

Put some grease on the pivot, or put a stronger spring on it.

We had the same problem. When you have it apart, remove the bolt and take the lever off of the shaft on the outside of the hub. Then you can push the shaft out through the inside of the hub. Clean everthing, grease and put back together.

I believe the drz125L has a drum brake assemb;y just like my TTR125L 's brake assembly.

I've experienced this problem also. I found out you have to take the wheel off, pull out the round brake part of the wheel(that holds the brake pads). My problem was the metal rod that turns back and forth to open and close(when you let off the brake) the brake pads. It would get stuck in a vertical position and the brakes would be compressed on. I just greased that metal rod that opens and closes the pads and it worked fine.

i had the same problem. at first mea and a friend took off the rear wheel and cleaned out the drum. it still stuck everynow and then later my dad and I took of the lever and accesorys and lubed them. everything has been working just fine now.
