rocket95955 Posted December 24, 2005 Bought a brand new 2006 KX250F it gets very hot very quickly and pushes coolant out the overflow.I am planning on swithching to WATER WETTER OR ENGINE ICE. Does anybody know where to get a higher pressure radiator cap for it.Any other ideas or hints? Thanks for any help.
Steve_Moriarty Posted December 24, 2005 This bike overheats if it is too lean and will do just that. Try raising MJ to 185. Of course there could be other issues such as head gasket or water pump Steve
Aaron_Silidker Posted December 24, 2005 If it is pushing coolant with the stock cap you probably blew the headgasket. Replace the head gasket, use engine ice and a 1.6 cap and all will be fine.
art5 Posted December 24, 2005 don't believe they have redesigned thed head gasket, same old problem, check head for warpage and install new head gasket

MotoX178 My Ride Posted December 25, 2005 Sounds like a blown head gasket to me also, my 05 had the same issue and that is what it turned out to be.
