Recommended Posts

My names Scott. I live in Michigan and have been riding for 23 years. Current bikes include 95 BMW R1100GS, 49 Panhead HD, and my pride of hooliganism.... a 94 DR 350. Dont laugh, I love this bike.

Anyways, hello.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I posted this here because I planned on posting some pics of my junk, but didnt see an attachment icon. I love the DR, I built it 3 years ago using GS500E wheels and brakes, and have been addicted to abandoned parking lots ever since. The pan comes out to play a couple of times a summer, but the wife wont ride it so we spend most our time on the big GS.

I dont work for a car plant, but I do work for an automotive supplier....... Cant blame you for thinking we all work for the big 3, most do.

Whats the deal with posting pics?

Yeah where in MI are you? I lived in Battle Creek for ten years until I moved to Columbus, Ohio 5 years ago. My dad still lives and works in Battle Creek for Kelloggs.

Garrett Poucher and Skyler Howes of Garrett Offroad Racing are headed to Dakar!  These US privateers are headed there for their first times but Skyler is fresh off a victory at last week's Baja Rally, won the Sonora Rally in March and this team placed third in the Baja 1000.

They have a fundraising link set up and could use your help.
I raced with Garrett at Baja Rally last year and then both of them at Sonora and was honored to pit with them as well.  They're both super guys and work their assess off.  I think they both have good chances of not only finishing the 11 days of Dakar but placing well.
They're doing some rally training events this Sat, Oct 20 in Santa Clarita, CA and then another Oct 28th in St. George Utah so if you've ever considered learning rally raid navigation, this is your chance!  It's a lot of fun too.  More info on that at the link.

Looking to buy a used Beta 2017 500 RRS from outside California.  Can I plate (Register with CA DMV) the bike in CA?  If so what is the best way?  Don't have the money to put down for a new bike from a Dealer in CA.  Any help or sugguestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
