Red Sticker Registration in Ca. I called Stags and left a message regarding registration for there bikes. The message I got back was you cant register them because they are strictly closed course, and that a bunch of crap. All the cheap chinese bikes cant be registured in Ca. I bought a UPC from Ratz racing and they registured my bike and got me the red sticker. Just be awhare that these bikes cant be registured.

The Staggs bike, is a custom built bike, that is assembled here in the USA. Because, it is a custom built bike, it does not come with the necessary Vin number and paperwork to allow it to be registered. Staggs target market, for their bikes, is the race scene. Their target customer will not be taking it onto goverement land, where registration is required. This may be frustrating for some, but you have got to understand, this is not a bike for ever little rider out there.

IT has nothing to do with be a custom bike, its all about the motor and if it can meet certain guidelines, EPA etc. It can be done but it would cost stags allot of money or whoever manufacatures there motor. Im sure its not worth it to them. Dont get me wrong, those bikes look bitchen and I would get one if i could register it. One more example, you have it in your truck and you get pulled over, there can be issues being it Ca any motor vehicle over 50 cc is supposed to be reg with the ca dmv. What can I say, Ca sucks.

I have a staggs bike also, actually jeremiahs old bike. It rides a whole lot better than my old cr2 that I sold to get this. Suspnsion is solid but you need to charge the sock when you get it. Thats the only bad thing I could find about it. It weighs a whole lot lighter than a xtreme also but power wise, its the same.

getting a title or a red sticker is a process but it can be done just like when you build a trailer or a sand rail or even a custon harley .

a trip to the dmv will net you a bunch of paperwork to take to the chp office ,they ( chp ) will look over the bike/rail/buggy/trailer whatever and look at any/all numbers found on your vehicle and if nothing is stolen they ( chp ) give you a blue tag and you return to the dmv and then you'll get a calif title as well as any stickers that apply to your vehicle .

i've built trailers and custom harleys and all i ever did was say build from parts i had and others from mail order companys and NEVER did i have a problem .

Yes you can most likely get a sticker, but Ill tell you with the BLM so involved these days its not as easy as you think, especially with dirt bikes. There are certain motors that are already approved, but be awhared that it can be a difficult process. It sucks living in Calif that we need to go through this. If you want to know more about this CAll the guys at Ratz Racing, they all know about this process.
