New frank reins sections?

Recommended Posts

my buddies rode there last weekend and said the new area was open.I will call him tomorrow to be 100% sure.he said they rode so far they came up to some houses and turned back.

The area you are talking about is back toward Hwy 5, and it is PRIVATE PROPERTY owned by Los Gatos Motorcycle Club. Please be respectful and don't trespass. ?

I called the number brewster gave and got some interesting info.she told me there is only 500 acres available for ohv use out of the 1500 provided.there is no new area and she also told me that they are trying to give the park to the state.it is currently run by the county.

Frank Raines has not expanded. It is a very small riding area and the boudaries are very easy to find. It is the riders responsibility to stay within the boundaries at any riding area. There is private property that boarders the riding area on the East side of the park. The person who owns this property is not very happy with Frank Raines users trespassing on to his property and will prosecute trespassers. Due east of that property there is property owned by Los Gatos Motorcycle Club of which I am a member. If trespassers are found on the Los Gatos Motorcycle Club property they will be escorted to Del Puerto Canyon Road where the only choice is to ride back to Frank Raines on the Public Road. Please be respectful to park boundaries and private property. It is our responsibility as dirt bikers to do this if we want to continue having areas like Frank Raines to use.

The riding at Frank Raines (not Reins) has been epic this year. This place does not have an ounce of clay in the soil and even on the muddiest days, practically nothing sticks to your bike (unlike neighboring Carnegie, go figure). I too am an LGMC member and would like to add a little info about the park, and our private riding area. We are currently in the process of improving the land, cutting trails, and establishing relations with our resident neighbors. We do plan to have open-house events as well as invitational events in the future, but need to keep low key for now as we are just starting to sort out several issues and trying not to upset the neighbors who already look at us unfavorably. We look forward to having guests come out and ride with us in the future, but for the time being, we need to keep access restricted. to learn more about us, see losgatosmotorcycleclub.org

thanks,

Dan
