FCR39MX leaking fuel when leaning > 30degrees

Hi,

Got a DRZ400S wich I have equiped with a FCR39MX (new model with protected acc. pump, large float bowl etc).

Runs pretty good, but... it has started to leak fuel when leaning the bike more than a certain angle. When using sidestand everything is ok, but if I lean it just a little bit more it starts to leak fuel through one of the "owerflow hoses". Have tried to find any faults with the float, needle and seat but cant find anything.

What could the cause be? Is it a frequent problem with FCR39MX?

(thought the MX should be even more tolerant to leaning angles than the old FCR..)

the float level needs to be set at 9mm.

its not uncommon for them to be set to high.

Float level measured with the bowl removed indicates no problem.

Got the impression that the needle wont touch the seat when the bike is leaned over. Like the something there is friction somewhere in the float/neddle mechanism at angles >30degrees. But I cant find it...

I've the same problem, Burned dont get me wrong, but the service manual says that the float level to be set at 13 (+-1)mm, any performance or sth. problem when set it to the 9mm.

Also an explosion sound like gun shot comes from the exhaust while decreasing speed.

Thanx

Have fun on your drzs...

13mm is for the S cv carb.not the fcr mx.
