1996 klx250r piston size??

I have a1996 KLX250R which the top end is in parts. I need to get a piston, which didn't come with the bike. The cylinder is going to need to be machined a little. How should I measure to determine the correct piston size?

You probably just have to machine it to a common size. Whoever does the machining will be able to help you.

1) research the available piston diameters (oversizes) for your bike

2) bring the list and cyl. to the machine shop

3) the machine shop will examine the cyl and determine how much it will need to be bored. and thusly what piston is needed.

Stock cylinder is plated. You have to sleeve it or have it replated if its bad.
