I got a new pipe for trails! What jetting?

Recommended Posts

I got a FMF Q-series one slip on with a spark arrestor for riding on the trails. What jetting do I use? I put a 148 main jet is that right? It doesn't seem as strong as my WB E-series slip on pipe. The main jet was a 165 and the needle is on the 5th mark from the top.

I am in Louisiana at about 65 degrees.

Below sea level.

I am interested to hear what the experts have to say as well. I've just picked up a powerbomb header and a Q2 for my 02 CRF. I'm presently running the JD kit with the stock exhaust and my carburation is spot on. Will it need to be changed or will it continue to pull hard.

drop the main jet to 160 and go.

148 must be a crf 450 x.
