I have found that it is better to buy a bike from a older rider (>30) the bikes tend to be better cared for

I'm 35, been riding for 25 years.

Bought the bike off a freind who is the same age, he got ot to ride his kids on.

didn't work like he had planed, so he sold to get a 4 wheeler.

The bike has prety low hours on it, plastic has some scratches, has rental bars barkbusters, Ims tank yz seat, it is yz timed. Oil changed every two rides.

as far as I know it needs nothing...

just had the valves checked they're good , that is when I had the timing changed.

It is a nice bike, but I'm ready for a new one, I don't know if it will be 2 or 4 stroke..

I am originally from the burg, I live in Ohio now but get back often. where are you located at. and in case you are interested, I am thinking of selling my 99 xr 400 also in great shape. It has the A-loop 400 kit on it. the original plastic is in great shape because it came off soon after I bought the bike (new).
