Whats this part called

You guys have got me thinking since my bike has had the oil catch tank thing removed I would like to get one to replace it but can't find one. Do you guys know what it would be called? I'm sure I'm just not looking under the right name.

I don't have one on mine either, and after 5000 miles I have had no problems.

Ok thanks. So it doesn't cause any harm from not running one? I'm just worried my bike will get low on oil while I'm riding from it and me not notice and mess something up.

My bike has lost no oil, none not even a little bit.

But I was very careful when running the hoses and positioning the T piece.

I also used a smaller bore hose from the T piece to the air boot, and have a flame trap in the T piece.

Burned and several others have stated that it is a disaster looking for a time to happen.

And I tend to agree, if you don't get it exactly right you will loose oil, and possible enough to kill the engine.

If there was no good reason to remove the breather box I would fit a new one.

PS. mine was removed to make room for an Edelbrock carb, but I shall construct a breather box to suit the available room this spring.

I loose some oil a few drops when I cut it off not sure about when riding.
