87' cr500 pushing coolant out..?

anybody ever heard of something like that..? I'm looking at a bike and the owner says it started pushing coolant out and then eventually overheats from it..? he is thinking that the jetting is wrong? but what do you guy's think..? also he's not sure exactly where it's pushing it out from?

any idea's?

sounds like either the head gasket or base gasket is allowing coolant to be sucked into the cylinder and pushed out of the exhaust.

the compression from the the leaky gaskets may also be pushing the coolant out of the water pump impeller housing or the radiator cap itself.

either way coolant is lost and the bike gets hotter.

If it pees out the radiator overflow its a headgasket.

Yep sounds like the headgakset to me too. Or could be a water pump propeller. The Husky had one go bad and it would cause it to overheat when it shouldn't. It did it about 2 times before we figured out it wasn't normal and fixxed it.
