Engine Oil...

I recently switched to the four stroke so I am not familiar with everything. But I lost my crankcase plug on my 04 yz250f. I didn't see any oil on my boots but i think i still need to replace the oil. I am not sure how much is supposed to go in. Anybody know?

That is the plug i lost, I bought a new one along with the o-ring now i just need to check the oil

Yeah, look at the weight of the oil. You want 10w50..

I use bel-ray thumper racing 4-stroke oil, it's good stuff. It's also semi-synthetic.

Are you just switching over to 4-strokes? There's only 1 oil tank and it's shared between the motor and the tranny. No need for motor oil and tranny oil.

That's what I use, and all you need. It's a little pricey but it's good oil.

yes it does. but you dont have to use a semi synthetic or full synthetic and in some cases the synthetic oils can hurt your bike by making the clutch slip. you could use a good quality cheap dino oil(regular oil).
