Ganaraska forest

Recommended Posts

Does anyone here ride in the Ganaraska forest?

I'm just wondering because I would like to know some great spots that I don't already know about, to ride to.

Ex. look out point.

Thanks for the help.

I have never been to the Ganny but plan on going there this year.

These guys put on a trail ride there around the first weekend in Aug.

For all trail rides in Ontario go here.

I ride alot in Limerick forest just north of Prescot ( tight single track)

and I try to make it up to Calibogie a few times a year.

For the best organized event you will have a hard time finding better than the Calibogie boogie that takes place the weekend after labour day and is put on by the BMA.

Where are you in Ontario?

I ride the ganny at least once a week. There are good elevation changes, tons of sigle track, fast double and some fire roads. It has sand sections and

It has east, west and( central no OHV) sections, you share it with horse peole and some 4X4's so keep your head up. You can ride to Budley and have lunch on the lake or ride single track for days and not hot the same trail twice but to maybe link up. Not too big that you need a GPS because main roads are marked. It has $100 yearly fee that is well worth it and I think day passes are 20-25 bucks.

It is worth the trip no matter were you have to come from!

Where do you buy the day passes and are maps available? Where is a good place to park?

You can buy the day passes at the Sanaraska store or you can go to the ganny center in central forest. I've road those trails for 10 years or so and I have a trailer at Sanaraska trailer park I love it in the ganny! it to bad i'm starting racing and I won't have as much time to hit the trails. What are your names I may know some of you guys or girls, my name is Shawn.
