Why is the area in which the bar clamps meet different by over a 1/16" of an inch? I am making my own bar risers, and when measuring the cap, I noticed that one side of the cap was thicker than the other. I was just wondering why they would make the sides different distances, when that would seemingly make the parts more costly. I looked at a few other older dirt bikes, and they do not have any difference in the heights of the bar clamp or the mount on the triple. Does anyone know the reason behind it?
