Coolong Fan for 450MXC

Just ordered a cooling fan for my 450. It looks to be a plug in but the wiring harness in my 05 did not have a plug in available for this fan. I soldered and used heat shrink to finish it off.Has anyone else had this similar problem with this fan. Dealer mechanic said it was odd that the wining harness should of had this on the bike. ?

The fan wiring harness plug-in should be there from the factory. It would be highly unusual if it was not there. It takes some searching and digging around to find it.

Now I'm worried. I just ordered the fan kit for my 05 450 MXC and I was hoping it would be plug and play. I don't want to have to cut the wiring harness. Does the kit come with all the instructions to install the kit?

put one on my 05 525 exc, the plugs were there and the taps on the

radiator fit perfect with four sheet metal screws that came with the fan.

think it was under $100 (suffer from crs) took ten minutes ?

I just wanted to report back, I received my fan kit via KTMtalk.com and it was here in a weeks time. I took me about an hour total including removing the fuel tank and right radiator to mount the fan assy. I used diaelectric grease to keep the water out of the electrical connections. I also installed a Time Bomb at the same time. Both are going to be worth their weight in gold.

Is there a way of putting one of these on a bike that doesn't have a battery? I have an 05 KTM 450 SMR.

got mine. install was painless except had to make a "y"connector because i have baja designs light kit.wfo!
