Fuel Tank

I was in the shed last night contemplating my next beer and looking at my tank lying on the ground and noticed how fragile the petcock looks holding up the side of the tank. Does anyone have a technique for holding up the tank while off the bike? Jack

Milk crate.. petcock fits in one of the holes.

Leave the shroulds on.. they keep the petcock off the ground.

Lay a short piece of 4x4 on the ground.. set tank on it. ?

Poke a hole in the can with a pencil and put the petcock into in.

I just leave the shrouds on the tank and they keep the petcock off the ground just fine.

old tire, will work as well. Or new tire

shrouds up front and empty beer can under back mount (there's room for 2 cans- if your tank is full you'll need the support. Drink one while planning the disass'y and the other after removing all the bolts, then you'll have them ready for the tank)
