DR 350 Suspension?

Recommended Posts

Did a search but could not find a recommended set-up.

I weigh 190 (with gear) and would be doing trial rides with an

occasional Desert Run.

I would like to set up the forks with new springs. Which would you recommend?

If you are leaning toward recommending switching to RM forks, what years will

fit a '91 DR350?

For the shock I will have it serviced but think the stock spring will be ok. Any

other suggestions?

thanks for the help ?

You're going to want fork springs ~.46 kg/mm. I weigh about 180+ with all my gear on and .44's treated me well. RaceTech has a 3-rate kit that'll cover this range. Unfortunately it will make you want to go faster and realize how harshly damped and physically flexy the stock forks are.

I did the springs and emulators to start, followed by '91 RM125 forks (and now a 2004 WR450). For "drop-in" RM forks, I think you need to find some '96 on conventional style. Otherwise you're looking at inverted-style that will require new triple clamps.

Either way, ease on over to maximum-suzuki.com and get your search on, especially in the archives. That's where the 350 folks hang out, whereas here at TT, it's more of a 650 affair.
