echo in top end?

Recommended Posts

its a echo, thats all i can say, idk if it could be from tight valve clearances, or a bearing, sorta sounds like.... a alien spaceship is the best thing i think of

anyone else have a slight "echo" sound in there top end? mainly hear it at idle

How many hours on the top end.? If you have more than 50 hours you might want to check your piston/cyl wall clearance. Too much clearance the piston will rock at idle, creating a knocking sound, eventually your piston skirt will break, making you very sorry.

its not a knocking sound, just like a quiet low pitch whining sound coming from the top end, btw do these motors always have a loud valve train?

this is like it everywhere and only at idle, motor has about 30-40 hrs on it
