dallas Area?

Recommended Posts

So is there any good trail riding around the Dallas area?

I currently live in Ohio and been looking for a change of pace..

I have a friends out thier in the area.. but of course they don't ride...

I will be out thier on May 18th-21st just to scope some stuff out..

I don't care about motocross tracks.. i just like to trail ride...

I live in Roanoke just north of Ft Worth, and yes Red river trails is hands down the best place to ride within 300 miles of DFW. Just so you know it takes a little longer than an hour to get there From DFW. Like I said I am on the far northwest side of the metroplex and it is a solid 1 1/2 hours for me.

Marshall Creek, Rocky Ridge Ranch, and lots of "secret" spots.

Also, Arbuckle Wilderness area in Oklahoma...bout' 2 hours from DFW. Sam Houston National Forest is cool.

You can also join TORO, and gain access to a spot near Greenville, and Bills Woods.

Unfortunately, Texas is probably 98% private land, so its pretty hard. Not enough close places for my tree dodging needs.

there are a lot of tracks here in the dallas area, there is badlands mx, mcafee mx in denton(which is the best track i have been to in texas), shady grove in dallas, village creek in fort worth, caddo point in quinlin, athens mx in athens, tristarr mx (mini track), lake whitney near waco, nocona mx. those are just some i thought of off the top of my head. i know there are more, just look it up.
