Opinions on what air filter is best

I think that a foam one such as a Uni is the best. Im not a fan of K&Ns, they dont filter as well as a foam or paper.

Twin Air or Moose. The moose has a rubber surface on the bottom of the filter that eliminates the need for rim grease and works very well with no toil

moose is very restrictive will make your bike run richer than twin air.. I have both and can not switch back and forth ..i use filter skins with both

To all who use uni , is there any rubber seal etc on the outside in the center where the the bolt goes threw, because mine dont have it,just wondering because on previous bikes Ive had with uni's there was or is this just the way the 250F is...

I keep hearing people say that the K&N provides poor filtration. This sucks, as I'd love to have the flow.

Can anyone point me to any hard evidence of this? Even your own first hand experience would be appreciated.

I have a twin air on my (actually my dads, but I ride it more) 450 and a UNI on my 250. I have to say that I like the twin air better. It is easier to clean/oil (because its one piece) and it does flow air better (I have swapped the filters between bikes). I have never had any issues with dirt getting past the filter with the twin air, despite it being thinner than my UNI.

I am using No Toil filter oil and rim grease.
