04 crf 450?

i was wandering if the 04 crf 450 was worth buying, is it good compare to the 05?

The '04 fixed the bugs the '03 had, and is a great bike. I love mine!!!

Only way I'd trade up would maybe be to an '07 with F/I if it comes out...

I'd say yes, get it. Others are going to say save a little more and get the 05. They did change the frame in 05, so that it's smaller and lighter. I would say go sit on an 04 and 05 and see which fits you better.

had a 04 and 05 i'm an old man. do the woods and single track. the 05 is a great bike,but i like the 04 better for what i do.i think the 05 is better for the track, but i like the 04 better for hill climbs and woods. just my .02 worth

I agree with Biketrdr, 04 for woods and 05 for the mx tracks.

Or, if it comes down to money (a good 04 can be had for 3-3500 bucks) then just get 20 or 22mm triple clamps.
